For a £150 donation, your name will be featured as one of 1,600 names forming the iconic chevrons on the underside of our brand-new H145 helicopter. These chevrons will be visible to countless individuals across our operational areas, symbolising the community spirit and generosity that fuels our lifesaving missions.

How it works
Step 1
Immortalise your name or that of a loved one on your local lifesaving air ambulance helicopter by entering their name below. A gift of £150 will save lives.
Step 2
We will send out your personalised certificate with your chosen name, and your commemorative coin within 2 weeks of payment*.
Step 3
Once all spaces on the four chevrons have been allocated, your chosen name will be added to the chevrons on the underside of G-HMAA and will accompany our crews on their lifesaving missions.
*Certificates and commemorative coins will be distributed from April 2025 onwards. From April 2025 onwards, we will aim to post certificate and commemorative coin orders to supporters within two weeks of names being submitted.

If I add more than one name, will they appear next to each other on the helicopter?
To ensure ease of finding a name on the chevrons, they will be displayed alphabetically by first letter, so those submitted at the same time will be unlikely to appear together.
How will the name appear on the helicopter?
Names will featured within the four chevrons on the underside of the helicopter. All names will be uniform in font and size.
What can and can’t be included in the name?
Submitted names must not exceed 30 characters, including spaces. This includes both the name itself and any titles (e.g., Captain, Dr., Lady) or post-nominal letters. Names can include formal titles (e.g., Dr., Mr., Captain) or informal versions of names (e.g., nicknames). Names must not contain emojis, special characters, or any discriminatory or offensive language.
Whose name can be added to the helicopter?
You can add:
- Your name
- The name of a loved one, friend or relative
- The name of someone who has passed away
- The name of someone as a gift e.g. birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas
- The name of a community group
What will I receive following a £150 donation to High Flyers?
As well as the name of your choice within the chevrons on the base of our new H145 helicopter, G-HMAA, you will also receive:
- A personalised certificate with your chosen name (one per name submitted)
- A limited edition, commemorative coin in a presentation card (one per name submitted)
- Regular updates from Midlands Air Ambulance Charity
- An online link to see your chosen name included in the chevrons on the helicopter, once the names have been applied to the helicopter at the close of the campaign

Will I be able to see the helicopter?
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that you will be able to visit the helicopter by submitting a name. Please do not arrive at one of our airbases hoping to see the helicopter, as it may be out on a lifesaving mission at any time, however we will notify you when charity events are taking place where G-HMAA will be on show.
Why is there a minimum donation of £150 to have my chosen name on the helicopter?
The minimum donation is based on the cost of adding names to the helicopter’s chevrons, in addition to ensuring that Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is able to raise significant lifesaving funds via the High Flyers campaign. Any additional donations on top of the £150 minimum donation are gratefully received.
What will my donation pay for?
You donation will go towards funding future lifesaving missions across the heart of England by Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, via our three air ambulance helicopters and fleet of critical care cars. Your donation will give those in their hour of need the very best chance of survival and recovery.
How long will my chosen name remain on the helicopter?
When we have all our High Flyers, your chosen name will be in place on our brand new H145 helicopter, G-HMAA, for a minimum of four years. After the four years, we will contact you to see whether you would like to renew your chosen name as a High Flyer.
